SNAS: Decentralized, Asychronous Music Network
So what is this SNAS: DAMN business all about? Well, to be honest, we're still trying to figure that out ourselves, but here's the idea in a nutshell: We missed SNAS, and wanted to continue the rock, despite living thousands of miles apart. Sexy Andrew actually had the idea during a fever dream in which Melsie hunted Andrew through the Scottish Highlands. Just before devouring him, Melsie told Andrew to put the band back together, "Blues Brothers" style, and to use clould based computing to collaborate everything. We're just getting started, but hope to have a proof of concept up and running soon.
This might still all seem a little confusing, and it is. So here are some of the ways we're describing SNAS: DAMN:
- Decentralized: We live all over the freakin world
- Asychronous: We each work on it when we have the time
- Collaborative: No one person is doing it all themselves
- Cloud Based: We're in the cloud, rocking passing jetliners
- Experiemental: We're not sure how/if this will work
- Pretentious: Guilty
- Music: I feel like this one should be pretty self-explanitory
- Unorthodox: Yeah...I guess it kind of is
- Network: We're all connected
The acronym DACCEPMUN is a little unwieldy, so we shortend it down a bit, and ended up with DAMN, which sounds pretty good if you ask us. So there you go, guy. That's the idea behind SNAS:DAMN.
