Rocking you so hard, your grandmother feels it

Here we relate SNAS's illustrious history of live performances. If you're holding out for a SNAS reunion show or tour (deep down, I know we all are), that information would probably make its way here as well.

Past Gigs

10/15/1674 - Barbados

Rogue pirates based from the island of Barbados, tired of their captain, the Scottish "Red Legs" Greaves, formed an group called Something Negative About Scotland. They then got drunk on rum and sang dirty sailor songs. This was the first ever performance of SNAS.

4/26/2004 - Kochi International Rock Festival - Kochi City

Scheduled to be the first performance of the modern day SNAS, the group unfortunately had to pull out at the last minute due to the entire band falling ill to food poisoning. For dinner the group ordered curry, but spent the rest of the night in the restroom.

11/7/2004 - All Shikoku All-Stars - Takamatsu City

Not to discouraged from their failed gig at the Kochi International Rock Fest, SNAS booked at spot at the All Shikoku-All Stars concert in Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture. As the band loaded their gear into their van, however, they found that a jealous ex had slashed all four tires...of all the band member's cars. The band was stranded at a 7-11 for the next three weeks.

8/12/2005 - Rockin' Kochi - Kochi City

Still determined to play their first show, SNAS booked a spot in the Rockin' Kochi Music Festival. This concert marks the first time SNAS ever took the stage. Unfortunately, a massive typhoon also struck Kochi City that same night, downing power lines and leaving thousands without power for days. This same power outage also affected SNAS, as the venue lost all power just before SNAS started to play. The concert was promptly canceled.

1/31/2006 - Ioki Elementary School International Day - Aki City

Lowering their sights a little, SNAS booked a gig at the Ioki Elementary School International Day Festival in Aki City. SNAS was scheduled to close the festival with a rock show. However, while playing "Duck, Duck, Goose" with some students before the show, drummer "Sexy" Andrew sprained his ankle chasing a 6 year old around the circle, and could no longer play. The show was indefinitely postponed.

7/29/2006 - Fuji Rock Fest. - Mt. Fuji

SNAS scored their biggest break to date, booking a gig at the world famous Fuji Rock Fest. The day was to be a sad one, however, as the previous night, lead singer and keyboardist Jimmy Hawthorne failed to return from a routine burrito run. The band took the stage, but couldn't remember any of Jimmy's music. Panicked, they started to sing "If you're happy and you know it" before being booed off the stage.

3/12/2007 - Kochi International Music Festival - Kochi City

Eager to prove themselves after the Fuji Rock fiasco, SNAS booked the Kochi International Music Festival as their comeback show, and their first in the post-Jimmy era. The band pulled out, however, when they realized that all proceeds from the concert would go to the "Bring Carrot Top to Kochi" fund.

10/10/2007 - SNAS ROCKS Halloween - Geisei Village

SNAS decided to put together their own Halloween show for Geisei Village, and planned to play entirely in Halloween costumes. Geisei Village canceled the show five minutes before it was scheduled to start, though when it was revealed that SNAS had decided to dress up as mimes.

1/15/2008 - Craig's Birthday Party - Tano Town

SNAS performed "Happy Birthday" for Craig. This is widely considered SNAS's most successful show in history.

1/16/2009 - Rock for the Childrens - Kochi City

SNAS rocked downtown Kochi in the restaurant Cadiz. Many who attended the show were left unable to fully function afterward. The restaurant itself was left a smoldering crater, and no pants were to be found within a quarter mile radius of the epicenter. The original plans were to donate all the proceeds from the show to a local childrens' hospital. However, when the hospital found the proceeds to be SNAS blood money, they refused the donation, and the money instead went towards damages incurred at Cadiz.

7/3/2009 - SNAS Farewell Tour - WORLDWIDE 2009!

Going out with a bang, SNAS started their farewell tour in Kochi City, Kochi Japan. Much havoc ensued. From there, SNAS moved on to Tokyo, Japan; Seoul, South Korea; London, England; Chicago, Illinois, USA; and Dubuque, Iowa, USA. In their wake, they left a path of destruction, all the while rocking their way to glory, love, and really expensive hotel bills.

Future Gigs

...Your mom!

Actually, we're not going to have anymore gigs. We're a weird Internet band thing now. I just really liked the "your mom" joke, and couldn't bring myself to remove it. Sorry.

I suppose that if Quetzalcoatl doesn't destory us all later this year, there might be chance that we actually play a live show at some indeterminate point in the future. (I realize this joke is old now, too. But I also really liked this one as well, so I left it.) If SNAS actually does play again, we'll probably post about it here at some point.....no promises, though.
